Osilvis (Silvio II--Iregina, Nimmerdor), a Grand Prix champion himself with Julie and Kevin Winkel, has now produced multiple Grand Prix offspring, including Osophia, winner of the Grand Prix of Flintridge two weeks ago as well as seven other grand prix events over the past two years. Optical Illusion, by Osilvis, is also making a name for herself in the Grand Prix ranks, most recently winning the Central California Welcome Classic and the Northern Winter Classic Grand Prix in March of 2017.

Cartouche Z (Carthago Z--Fernando) made his mark in the Grand Prix show jumping ranks from 2005-08, winning events from California to Oregon. His many victories included the Hood River Grand Prix, which he won twice.

Cartouche Z's winning get include the Grand Prix horse Cartel as well as the 1.30m winner Cin City BA and Amateur Jumpers Carma, Cartridge and Cienna, to name a just a few.

Maplewood's rising star Good To Know (Montebello La Silla--Rapsodia LS), a 10-year-old Holsteiner stallion, has multiple championships at the 1.30m level and is continuing up the levels in 2017.

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," said Maplewood owner Julie Winkel. "Osilvis and Cartouche Z are reaching the end of their breeding careers, and with their offspring achieving such impressive results, we want to offer other people the chance to breed their future sport horse star.

"We've been so fortunate to have had the opportunity to show these stallions and to many successes and then breed, raise and train their get to follow in their footsteps," Winkel continued. "It's the most rewarding process, to match a stallion and mare, produce a foal and then create a long-lasting and successful partnership. The rewards of this journey go far beyond any ribbon you will ever win."

To join this new program, you pay the stud fee, the veterinary expenses and a $500 monthly fee for the lease and care of the mare while the foal is in utero. After your foal is born, the cost is $750 per month until weaning. If you choose to leave your foal at Maplewood, where he can grow up in a natural and nurturing environment, we have a plan for that , too!
