Julie Winkel Receives CPHA Lifetime Achievement Award

We are delighted to honor Julie Winkel as the recipient of this prestigious award, which recognizes an equestrian whose lifetime dedication and accomplishments have elevated the sport of horse showing and enriched the equestrian community.

Julie Winkel is a true icon in the equestrian world—a highly respected trainer, judge, clinician, and educator. Holding USEF R-rated licenses in multiple disciplines since 1984, she has judged and designed courses for many of the nation’s most distinguished events, including the ASPCA Maclay Finals and USEF Medal Finals. As a Grand Prix show jumper and hunter competitor, her achievements in the ring are as impressive as her contributions outside of it.

Julie’s passion extends to volunteering and shaping the future of the sport. She has served on nunerous influential committees, including co-chairing the USEF Licensed Officials Committee and contributing to the USHJA Emerging Athletes Program Task Force, ensuring her impact reaches far and wide.
