Osilvis Sires 2022 South Carolina Hunter Derby Champion

Horses by Maplewood’s flagship stallion Osilvis continued to impress from coast to coast and in the Jumpers and Hunters during 2022.
Painted Horse LLC’s On Point, a 6-year-old bred and raised at Maplewood, made his show ring debut in 2022 and finished with a variety of year-end awards with rider Annie Walters of AMW Stables.
By Osilvis and out of Carma, by Maplewood’s now deceased stallion Cartouche Z, the gray gelding concluded his first show season with victory in the $5,000 Palmetto Hunter Derby Championship on December 3 in Camden, South Carolina. He also earned the show’s 3’/3’3” Performance Working Hunter Championship and the 2022 South Carolina Hunter Jumper Association 3’/3’3” Green Hunter Reserve Championship.

By virtue of his consistent performances in the USHJA Green Hunter Incentive stakes classes and in the USHJA Green Hunter Incentive South Regional Championships, “Sunny” concluded the year standing sixth in the National American-bred standings.
